About the job

As a Facilities Assistant, you and your colleagues play a vital role in ensuring the overall experience in our premises. Together, you create an environment that conveys a safe, attractive, modern, and sustainable workplace for our employees and all students.

Your primary tasks involve cleaning, but other duties may include refilling water and coffee machines, etc.

Your background

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, attentive, responsible, and proactive. You have excellent teamwork skills, high social competence, and enjoy working in a team, but you can also work independently.

No previous experience in facilities management is required; you will work closely with competent colleagues who will mentor and support you in your role. Previous experience is an advantage.

SLU is a workplace with many different nationalities, so a prerequisite is that you can communicate clearly in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

Requirements:

• Upper secondary education
• Category B driver's license
• Swedish in spoken & written form
• English in spoken & written form

About us

The Department of Infrastructure (Infra) is part of the central operational support at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).

Infra is responsible for providing cost-effective, adapted, and well-functioning service services both locally at our main campuses in Umeå, Uppsala, and Alnarp, where we are represented, but also contributing to service development for the entire SLU.

Overall, the department also handles premises supply issues and rent administration, as well as guiding and supporting competence in environmental and safety issues. We and our employees are expected to actively contribute to the university's development through engagement and initiative. Infra has approximately 120 employees and an annual turnover of around 110 million SEK.
