Construction Mechanic at Lillesmén in Lidköping

We are currently looking for a skilled Construction Mechanic to join our team.

In this role, the focus will be on construction machinery, including wheel loaders, dump trucks, excavators, stone crushers, screens, and trucks.

You will work in an environment where freedom with responsibility, high job satisfaction, and a strong sense of team spirit are central. You will be part of a close-knit group of 4–5 mechanics. The mechanic team is tight, competent, and works without micromanagement—you take ownership, plan your own work, and solve problems as they arise.

About the Role

As a Construction Mechanic, you will perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on heavy construction machinery, primarily in quarries in the field as well as in the workshop. You work independently and prioritize your tasks in dialogue with the workshop manager. The assignments vary from day to day.

Your Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of construction machinery
• Emergency interventions in quarries
• Maintenance and technical measures
• Collaboration with other mechanics

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience with construction machinery or heavy vehicles
• Has welding skills
• Is self-motivated and confident in making independent decisions
• Has strong skills in troubleshooting complex machine faults
• Has a strong work ethic and thrives in a role with autonomy
• Is team-oriented and contributes to a good working environment
• Has a Category B driver's license
