Being a bus driver is an important service profession. It is a vital societal role to shuttle schoolchildren and citizens to school, work, friends, outdoor activities, and job interviews. Your mission is to create a safe, secure, and smooth travel experience in the Åre area every day for both ski tourists and permanent residents.

Working as a bus driver in Åre (year-round or seasonal) is a unique assignment! Here, half of the workforce consists of seasonal staff, while the other half works year-round. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful, and the weather conditions can sometimes be very challenging. Working as a bus driver in Åre is no luxury, but it is a unique experience you will remember, and one that makes many return year after year.

You will have the opportunity to live and work in a place you love, with great opportunities for good camaraderie with colleagues, where several also live in some of our accommodations in Duved.

We highly value your personality, integrity, and ability to collaborate with colleagues and traffic control, as well as your service spirit and how you treat passengers.

During the winter season, we form an important part of Skistar's offer to its customers. You will, among other things, drive the ski buses in Åre. Connect Bus works on behalf of Länstrafiken i Jämtland and is also responsible for the line traffic in Åre Municipality.

We offer simple seasonal accommodation in Duved for seasonal employees, as well as initial basic accommodation for those who want to start living and working in Duved but prefer to search for their own housing calmly once on site. We have depots in Duved, Järpen, and Hallen.

Qualifications and Skills

• You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• You hold a driver's license with category D.
• You have a professional competence certificate (YKB) for buses.
• You have a digital tachograph card.
