Being a bus driver is an important service profession with a vital societal role. You transport school students and citizens to school, work, friends, outdoor activities, and job interviews. Your mission is to create a safe, secure, and smooth travel experience in the Åre area every day for both ski tourists and permanent residents.

Working as a bus driver in Åre (year-round or seasonal) is a unique opportunity! Half of our workforce consists of seasonal staff, while the other half works year-round. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful, and the weather conditions can be challenging at times. Working as a bus driver in Åre is not a luxury, but it is a unique experience you will remember, which is why many return year after year.

You get the opportunity to live and work in a place you love, with great opportunities for camaraderie among colleagues. Many of our colleagues also live in one of our accommodations in Duved.

During the winter season, we are an important part of Skistar's offering to its customers. You will, among other things, drive the ski buses in Åre. Connect Bus works on behalf of Länstrafiken i Jämtland and is also responsible for the line traffic in Åre Municipality.

We offer simple seasonal accommodation in Duved for seasonal employees. We also offer initial basic accommodation for those who wish to start living and working in Duved but prefer to search for their own housing in peace and quiet once on site. We have depots in Duved, Järpen, and Hallen.

Qualifications and Skills

• You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• You hold a Category D driving license.
• You have a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for buses.
• You have a digital tachograph card.
