About Us

Do you want to help develop Närhälsan Opaltorget Health Centre? We are looking for another employee who is driven and interested in a varied assignment. Närhälsan Opaltorget Health Centre is located in western Gothenburg, and we have 7,500 registered patients who reflect the demographics, socioeconomics, and age of the area. We are also responsible for care and nursing homes for the elderly and younger people with functional support needs, as well as home healthcare and Child Health Services (BHV). We continuously work to develop the operations with a focus on medical quality, accessibility, and continuity. We also work more specifically towards different medical areas, which provides an opportunity to develop in the role, for example, within asthma/COPD and elderly care.

About the Job

Your duties at the health centre span a broad field and include general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You work independently and alternately with reception work. Supervision is provided by an experienced specialist who gives you support and knowledge exchange. We offer you a varied job with good development opportunities. If you are interested in a free and varied work with the patient where your and your colleagues' work environment is in focus, this job is for you.

About You

You are a licensed physician with permission to work within Swedish healthcare and have an interest in primary care and in completing specialist training (ST) in general practice. You have Swedish language skills at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale.

We are looking for you who are sensitive and have a good manner of dealing with people because you meet many different patients at the health centre in your work. You work independently and are confident in making your own decisions, while at the same time contributing with engagement and initiative to the development of the operations. You enjoy teamwork and cooperate willingly with colleagues and partners to together create a care environment characterized by quality, trust, and consideration.

The position is a fixed-term appointment for 6 months, with a possible opportunity for extension and specialist training (ST).

For those who have trained as a doctor abroad and have not done AT (basic training) in Sweden to obtain a medical license, the new regulations regarding Basic Service (Bastjänstgöring) from July 1, 2021, apply. Basic Service for doctors (BT) is a mandatory introductory part of the specialist training in the new regulation ST-2021 (HSLF-FS 2021:8). This means that you need to do BT before or as an introductory part of your ST.
