Who are we?

We are a school for grades F-3 with an after-school center (fritidshem), where approximately 130 students attend. We are currently located in Smedby (in the old Bjärbyskolan premises) while waiting for the new school on western Vikbolandet to be built. Approximately 25 employees with varying lengths of experience work at our school, pooling their competencies to achieve a holistic view and high quality. Dagsberg School is a practice school, which means we regularly host student teachers from Linköping University.

Your responsibilities

Here, you will, together with a colleague, be responsible for teaching in grade 2. You will be responsible for the instruction and will also have close cooperation with staff from the after-school center linked to the grade. You prepare, plan, conduct, and evaluate your teaching in a professional and systematic manner based on regulatory documents, evidence-based knowledge, and current research. You prioritize creating good, trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues alike.

You see the strength in collaboration and contribute together with your colleagues to developing the entire school. We develop our work through pedagogical dialogues and collegial learning, and we dare to be curious about new ways of working.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility for primary school grades F-3. You also have education and knowledge in special needs pedagogy, and you have experience working with students with NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and challenging behaviors.

You are confident in your leadership role, can adapt your approach based on the situation and individual, and are particularly skilled in handling conflicts and setting boundaries when necessary. You meet students and guardians in an empathetic, respectful, and clear manner, and collaborate with others inside and outside the school for a meaningful and stimulating operation.

As a person, you are positive, have good communication skills, and the ability to see situations from different perspectives. You are engaged and want to share your knowledge and experiences with colleagues.

You create good learning environments for students based on needs and participation. You inspire your students and value their participation.

You have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Furthermore, you have knowledge of low-arousal approaches and are well-versed in the school's regulatory documents.
