Who are we?

In the autumn of 2019, we started a completely new school in the Bråvalla area, moving the vocational programs from Ebersteinska Gymnasium here. Bråvallagymnasiet is an education center for vocational training with workshops that invite creativity and creation. The school is modern and equipped in the same way as the companies the students will work in.

At Bråvallagymnasiet, students receive real vocational training. The school has approximately 800 students across a large number of vocational programs. Here, students earn a vocational diploma and also have the opportunity to continue their studies at a university or university college.

We have close cooperation with companies that offer students internships, jobs, and exciting career opportunities. Through joy, a great atmosphere, and skilled teachers, we shape individuals who are professionally competent, secure, and strong.

Your responsibilities

The position involves teaching vocational courses within the Construction Program, specializing in House Construction. You will teach courses such as carpentry, concrete work, and masonry.

The work is carried out in a teaching team with responsibility and authority, and a well-adapted assignment, which leads to increased engagement, efficiency, and dissemination of new pedagogical ideas. Mentorship is included in the position.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a high school diploma and are an experienced construction worker. You are trained as a carpenter, concrete worker, mason, or in special trades and have several years of experience in the industry.

It is an advantage if you are a trained mason and have been a supervisor for high school students during their internships. We look for you who have experience teaching at a vocational high school. Other teaching experience or previous experience working with young people is also meritorious.

You plan the teaching together with colleagues and enjoy passing on your knowledge and profession to the students in the program. As a person, you are outgoing, enjoy contact with students, and have good cooperation skills. You are secure, stable, and distinguish between the personal and the professional.

We see that you relate in a listening and humble way in your collaboration with others. It is important that you have the ability to motivate others and create engagement and participation. You are flexible and are a knowledge resource who tries to find new ways together with your colleagues to promote student learning.

You consider the best interests of the entire operation in your actions, and you are particularly skilled at creating a good learning environment with peace and security for your students. Good computer skills are a requirement, as are good knowledge of Swedish.
