ASIH Stockholm South is looking for an engaged Unit Manager who wants to lead our Huddinge team together with employees and management.
ASIH Stockholm South consists of five ASIH teams distributed across three locations, with the main office in new, modern premises in Solberga Park, where our palliative care ward is also located. The office is a 5-minute walk from Älvsjö center and is easily accessible by commuter train and bus.
ASIH Stockholm South provides Advanced Home Care for approximately 400 patients throughout southern Stockholm, as well as Specialized Palliative Inpatient Care with 24 beds. We care for patients with varying diagnoses, both in curative and palliative phases. The operation is region-driven and runs 24/7.
About the position
The role of Unit Manager entails independent responsibility for budget monitoring, quality monitoring, as well as recruitment and salary setting. You also have full delegated responsibility for the work environment. You will have a well-functioning operational support team to assist you, both locally and centrally.
You will be part of an engaged management group and will be included in the operational leadership group where strategic decisions regarding the operation are made. An active development and quality work is carried out within the operation, and you are expected to contribute to this.
Employment type
You will be hired permanently in your core profession with a three-year managerial appointment, with good opportunities for extension.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Documented managerial experience within healthcare in a 24/7 operation.
- Registered Nurse.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
Merits:
- Master's degree or similar specialization in palliative care or other specialist training.

The position is filled subject to it not needing to be reserved for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.
For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks at employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
