School Nurse at 80% at IES Järfälla

Internationella Engelska Skolan Järfälla is a comprehensive school consisting of 560 students and is part of Internationella Engelska Skolan AB (IES), which currently comprises 46 comprehensive schools across the country. The central student health medical unit at IES consists of an MLA (Medical Leader for Student Health), coordinating school nurses, and resource nurses who work in close collaboration with school nurses at the schools. From central EMI, new employees are offered introductions, mentoring for school nurses, network meetings, and ongoing training, as well as close accessibility for support and questions.

The position is aimed at students in middle and upper secondary school and includes standard duties according to the guidelines of the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Swedish National Agency for Education, such as: health talks and health checks, open reception for students, medical consultations, vaccinations, and preventive and health-promoting work at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

As a school nurse, you will collaborate with a fellow school nurse, the principal, and the other professions in the student health team to support students' development towards educational goals. Collaboration with municipalities and other authorities, as well as contact with guardians, is a natural part of the job. In our school, student health is a prioritized part of the work.

Qualifications

Registered nurse with specialized education in: child and youth health, district nursing, or the school nurse program. We view it as a positive if you have previous experience working as a school nurse and in health-promoting work with children and young people. You have good communication skills and express yourself fluently in both spoken and written English and Swedish.

Employment Terms

Permanent position with a 6-month probation period. The position is 80%, daytime hours. Holiday relief position. Start date: August 2026.
