The Care Unit (VE) for Memory Diseases is a specialist clinic offering investigation and treatment of memory disorders and suspected dementia/cognitive impairment in both elderly and younger patients. Our operations are conducted in completely new premises centrally located at Triangeln in Malmö. We have a well-developed outpatient care with a specialist clinic, mobile outpatient teams, and the unit 'Memory Health'. Our operations also include a unit for clinical drug trials.

World-leading research and teaching with strong clinical connections are conducted here, permeating the entire operation. We work in close collaboration with primary care, the municipality, and other operational areas within Skåne University Hospital.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a driven and engaged nurse for our operations. There is plenty of room for innovation and great opportunities for development here!

In the role of a nurse with us, you work among other things with reception work and your own patient visits involving cognitive testing, conversations, and assessments. You are an important part of the team around the patient regarding investigation, follow-up, and treatment. Furthermore, you work with supportive and advisory conversations with patients, relatives, and other caregivers. At the clinic, we are also involved in the education and teaching of future colleagues. Together with your colleagues, you have close collaboration with other professions within the operational unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. We would like you to have knowledge about memory disorders and dementia. In addition, it is desirable that you have experience of advisory conversations with both patients, relatives, and other caregivers.
