About the Role

Do you want to become a key part of the energy transition? Vattenfall Services is Sweden's leading contracting company within the energy and electrical power sector, and we are developing Sweden's energy infrastructure! Here, you work in a future-oriented industry with a strong focus on a sustainable future. We need more energy heroes, and we are now looking for a Distribution Electrician. Is that you? Together, we make a difference for society!

As a Distribution Electrician, you will work on our major service contracts involving maintenance, service, and fault repair. You may also work with new construction and projects. We work with both overhead lines and underground cable networks across various voltage levels, 0.4–40 kV. Depending on your experience level, you may also lead and supervise borrowed staff and subcontractors in the role of electrical safety manager.

In addition to the technical work, some of your main responsibilities include:

• Documenting and reporting on work progress.
• Contributing to a safe working environment in the field for yourself and your colleagues.

Travel, outdoor work, and working at heights are a natural part of the job as a Distribution Electrician. Service work requires day trips within the nearest geography, though longer trips may occur. On-call duties may also be included.

Requirements

As a Distribution Electrician here, you are the company's most important asset for field operations. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is engaged and always ready to support your colleagues. You are motivated by offering service and quality to your colleagues as well as customers, and you always act professionally in your work.

Independence is a large part of the job and is crucial for moving work forward. We are therefore looking for someone who takes responsibility and has a strong commitment to their assignments. You would never let profitability come before safety.

Safety always comes first at Vattenfall Services, which means we must have an accepting work climate. We are there for each other, and we learn from each other's mistakes. When you start with us, there is always mentorship. Depending on your experience level, the duration and amount of mentorship will vary.

We know you will develop together with us. However, we would prefer that you already have:

• A completed upper secondary education or higher in electricity, electrical power, technology, or another relevant field.
• Some years of experience within the electricity or electrical power sector.
• Experience from the contracting industry is an advantage.
• Computer proficiency (Office package).
• A Class B driver's license, as travel is required for the role.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. English is an advantage.

Location

In this recruitment, we are looking for employees for several of our departments in Nyköping and Sörmland. Examples of locations include: Nyköping, Trosa, Gnesta, Katrineholm, and Södertälje.
