Marine and Field Service Mechanic at Rindövarvet – When it needs to be fixed, now!

Our mobile division is growing – and we are looking for you who thrive best when things are happening. You who do not shy away from an emergency call to solve the customer's traffic issues, who enjoy troubleshooting on-site, talking to the customer, rolling up your sleeves – and getting the job done.

About the role

As a marine and field service mechanic, you are a central part of our mobile team that responds when our customers need quick and qualified help on board. The focus is on troubleshooting, repair, and service of systems on board.

You work independently and in close contact with both the customer and the project manager. Assignments can be planned but also urgent – sometimes interventions are required outside regular working hours.

Examples of tasks:

• Troubleshooting and repair of on-board systems (electrical, hydraulics & engine).
• Urgent service interventions – sometimes outside regular working hours.
• Planned engine service. Merit with experience of Volvo Penta and Scania.
• On-site customer dialogue to understand the customer's problem.
• Collaboration with project managers, technicians, and shipyard teams.
• Documentation and reporting of completed work.

We are looking for you who:

• Have experience from marine mechanics, engines, vehicles, industry, or similar.
• Have experience with ships and boats within commercial shipping.
• Have good troubleshooting skills and system understanding, preferably with experience from Volvo Penta and Scania.
• Are self-reliant, proactive, and enjoy practical work.
• Have good social skills.
• Are stress-resistant and comfortable working under time pressure.
• Have a B driver's license (required).
• It is an advantage if you are flexible and have the possibility to work outside regular working hours occasionally.

About the position

• The position is full-time.
• Location: Rindö, Vaxholm – but you often operate from the field.
