Experienced HSE Resource for Karlshamn

We are currently seeking an experienced HSE resource for a assignment with our client, located at a facility in Karlshamn. The role aims to strengthen safety work within the project operations and ensure that construction and installation projects are planned and executed in accordance with current requirements and established practices within occupational health and safety.

About the Assignment

You will work operationally in close collaboration with the project organization and be part of the site HSE team. The role involves active participation in both the planning and execution phases, with a focus on integrating a strong safety mindset into the projects.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and the project organization with HSE matters
• Participate in project meetings and contribute risk and safety perspectives
• Ensure that risk assessments are of high quality and produced in a timely manner
• Monitor compliance with safety requirements by contractors and suppliers
• Conduct safety rounds and workplace inspections
• Support the handling of near misses, observations, and deviations
• Contribute to proactive safety engagement in projects
• Ensure compliance with internal requirements, procedures, and standards
• Provide operational support when planning high-risk work

Role and Responsibilities

You are part of the HSE organization but primarily work towards the project operations. The role is both supportive and coaching, while also having a clear requirement-setting function. You are expected to monitor that the safety work in projects maintains the correct level and contribute to creating structure and discipline within occupational health and safety work. Through your working methods, you actively contribute to raising the safety culture in the projects.

Who We Are Looking For

You have documented experience in operational HSE work within construction, civil engineering, or industrial projects, preferably in contractor-intensive environments. You are accustomed to working closely with project organizations and have good experience in risk management in both the planning and execution phases. Experience from the process industry is an advantage.

You have good knowledge of Swedish occupational health and safety legislation and are well-versed in systematic occupational health and safety work. You have the ability to translate requirements and regulations into practical and functioning safety work in operations.

As a person, you are operational and proactive, with a structured and solution-oriented approach. You are clear in your communication and confident in setting requirements when necessary, while also having good collaboration skills and an easy way to build trust within the organization.

The goal is to strengthen the safety level in ongoing and upcoming projects, ensure that projects are driven according to our client's requirements, standards, and current occupational health and safety legislation, and to reduce risks, near misses, and deviations in project execution.
