Do you love food and are you ready for a career where people come first? At City Gross, everything we do is about helping and inspiring our customers to have a better everyday life. Our hearts beat a little extra for fresh produce, and we believe in people. We believe we become better when we have different backgrounds and experiences. Whether you are showcasing freshly harvested vegetables, cutting the perfect piece of meat, ensuring shelves are always well-stocked, or running campaigns that meet our customers' needs, everyone is here for one reason: to create an amazing customer experience.
About the job
Position type: Permanent position, 25 hours per week, probationary period applies.
Start date: 2026-06-01 or according to agreement.
Working hours: Early mornings, late evenings, and weekends occur as a natural part of the work.
We welcome applicants of all ages, but due to the Working Environment Act, you must be at least 18 years old to work in the meat department.
You put the finishing touch on the customer experience
You have the chance to make a big impact on our customers' visits, which is why you have an important role in making the customer experience smooth and pleasant. This might mean a friendly smile, an unexpected question, or a helpful attitude, so that the customer finds their way in the store. Your goal is to ensure the customer leaves happy – and preferably with an extra item in the basket and a good feeling!
What will you do?
Every day brings new meetings and challenges, but some of your main tasks will be:
- Ensuring that customers leave the store with a smile (and perhaps an extra item or new inspiration).
- Working with cutting fresh Swedish meat, cut in-store.
- Working with packaging, restocking, and creating a pleasant store environment with order and cleanliness.
- Contributing to offering our customers a fresh and inviting meat and charcuterie department.
- Collaborating with colleagues throughout the store – we are a team and help out where needed!
Who are you?
You are a natural problem solver who enjoys a fast-paced environment. A friendly hello and an extra helping hand are second nature to you. Do you have a burning interest in really good meat? Super! If you have worked with meat and cutting – even better!
We believe that you:
- Have a high school education and are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. Since our customers speak more languages than that, it is fantastic if you do too.
- Have previous experience/training in fresh produce handling and cutting is an advantage.
- Love meeting customers and believe that service should be genuine and engaged.
- Enjoy working together and contribute energy and joy.
- Are curious, solution-oriented, notice when something needs to be done, and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get it done!
What do you get?
- Secure conditions – We have collective agreements with Handels and Unionen.
- Affordable food box – You get employee discounts on everything from luxurious weekend dinners to quick weekday fixes.
- Parental leave with extra security – we offer enhanced parental pay according to the collective agreement so you can enjoy your new family member a little extra.
- A healthier and more energetic body and mind – We care about your health and offer wellness benefits, so you can stay active in the way that suits you best.
- Real career opportunities – There is room to grow here! Many of our store managers started exactly where you are now.
Does this sound like something for you? Send in your application – we look forward to meeting you!
