Our daily work at the health center is varied, and we meet patients of all ages with different needs. We are looking for a nurse/primary healthcare nurse with a special interest in dementia care. Do you want to become part of our nursing team? Then we welcome your application!

Job Responsibilities

The work is varied and includes assessing health issues during scheduled appointments, telephone advice, or digitally via 1177 DigiCare. If you have experience working with dementia, memory clinic duties will also be part of your responsibilities.

You will work both independently and in close collaboration with other professional categories. Improvement work for the entire health center is an important part of the daily work.

About the Workplace

The 11 region-run health centers and the Health Center Emergency Clinics in Västmanland operate as an intrapreneurship with a management board and Region Västmanland as the owner. The operations are united under the name Närvården Västmanland, and together we work to provide accessible and high-quality primary care throughout the county. We continuously invest in developing our workplaces to meet the primary care needs of the future.

The health center is centrally located in Hallstahammar, and the operations also include a branch clinic in Kolbäck. Parking is available adjacent to the health center, along with good bus connections to Västerås and other locations.

We are responsible for approximately 12,350 registered patients and offer doctor and primary healthcare nurse clinics, maternity and child health care, as well as rehabilitation with a physiotherapist and counseling services. Dietitians, wellness centers, and occupational therapists are also present at the health center on certain days of the week.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with further education as a primary healthcare nurse, or alternatively a registered nurse with substantial experience and an interest in primary care. Experience with telephone advice and clinic work is preferred. You should have experience with the medical record system Cosmic and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Employment Terms

The position is a fixed-term contract until March 2027, full-time, with a start date to be agreed upon.

Work will be performed in both Hallstahammar and Kolbäck.
