What does the role of Dietitian at Norlandia Elderly Care involve?
As a dietitian with us, you play a central and significant role in the operations. You work both with individual needs and with developing approaches to nutrition, meals, and the joy of eating together with the team. You are also part of an interprofessional team and actively contribute to creating good conditions for the health and well-being of each resident.
Your main responsibilities
- Responsible for individualized meal planning based on needs, preferences, and health status.
- Work to prevent and monitor nutritional problems, such as malnutrition.
- Contribute to the development of menus, meal environments, and working methods.
- Ensure that meals are nutritious, individualized, attractive, and stimulating.
- Work towards a good meal environment that promotes well-being and participation.
- Support dietitians, chefs, and care staff in their daily work.
- Plan, conduct, and follow up on training and supervision in nutrition and diet, meal situations, as well as food hygiene, self-control, and other relevant guidelines.
- Participate in regular team meetings for planning, follow-up, and development of interventions.
- Contribute to the health teams in the operations and provide a holistic view of health, activity, and nutrition.
- Contribute to and follow up on implementation plans and health plans.
- Participate in quality and improvement work within the operations.
- Participate in and plan various forums where residents and relatives are given the opportunity to influence meals.
About Björkbacken and Haga Äng Elderly Care Homes
Björkbacken is an elderly care home with 42 apartments spread over three floors, focusing on somatic care.
Haga Äng is an elderly care home with 62 apartments spread over four floors, focusing on people with dementia and geriatric psychiatry.
Both elderly care homes have an attractive location with proximity to bus connections, walking paths, green areas, as well as a selection of shops and restaurants – which contributes to a pleasant everyday life for both residents and staff.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is:
- A registered Dietitian.
- Highly interested in elderly care and person-centered work.
- Comfortable working both independently and in a team.
- Has a pedagogical and coaching approach.
- Is structured and driven by developing quality in operations.
- Previous experience in elderly care is an advantage.
- You need to have good knowledge of healthcare regulations.
- You have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
- We would appreciate if you have knowledge of documentation based on ICF and KVÅ.
- We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations.
Other information
Employment type: Permanent.
Scope: 75–100%, as agreed. At higher employment levels, some work may be placed more towards our central functions – more information regarding this will be provided during the interview.
Start date: As agreed.
Probation period: We apply a 6-month probation period.
We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
In the event of employment, you must be able to provide a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record). You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
