The National Forensic Centre (NFC) is a division within the Swedish Police Authority. In close collaboration with the investigative operations, NFC leads, develops, and performs forensic work for successful crime prevention. The division operates in the areas of information technology, biological traces, chemistry and technology, as well as drug analysis. We have ten operational sites, with our largest laboratory and division office located in Linköping.

At the NFC Office, we are responsible for planning and monitoring operations at NFC and have coordination responsibilities for division-wide issues such as crisis preparedness, premises, procurement, front desk, registry, material handling, preparation, and follow-up. We are a team of about fifty employees, organized into five groups, based in Linköping.

We within the division office are now seeking service-oriented men/women to perform general supervision of premises, furnishings, and technical equipment, as well as to rectify faults and deficiencies and, if necessary, carry out premises adaptations.

Job Responsibilities

The work involves planning and performing general supervision of premises, furnishings, and technical equipment, as well as rectifying faults and deficiencies, where the responsibility lies with the Swedish Police Authority (NFC). In collaboration with the Police Authority's premises supply unit and property owners, you will carry out premises adaptations in the form of minor renovations and furnishing work in the properties rented by the Swedish Police Authority, as needed. Rearranging and reallocating premises in response to changes in operations, as well as planning and executing relocations, are common tasks. On-call duty may become relevant for this position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a completed upper secondary education
  • some years of work experience in maintenance work regarding premises and technical equipment
  • good experience using tools and assembling furniture/equipment
  • work experience in service work
  • technical knowledge and experience handling and repairing machines and other equipment
  • good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • Category B driver's license (manual transmission)
  • good knowledge of the Office package.

Meritorious Qualifications

  • Forklift license
  • Work experience in being responsible for smaller premises projects/premises changes.

Furthermore, you have a pronounced service orientation and good ability to collaborate and cooperate with others both within and outside the agency. The ability to see the big picture and have an economic mindset are two other very important qualities.
