We are looking for a Firefighter for Industrial Fire Protection

About the unit:

You will be part of a team consisting of a Fire and Safety Manager and seven firefighters who perform supervision and maintenance work related to fire protection. We deliver fire protection services to several companies, including within the defense industry. We operate from the fire station at Björkborn industrial area.

I am Mattias Långström, your future manager. I have worked at Elcoline since 2022 and have been responsible for Industrial Fire Protection for the same period. Before that, I worked in municipal rescue services in various positions. For me, it is important that we in the team work together for the best working environment and well-being! Your tasks and responsibilities:

In fire and medical services, we work primarily with preventive safety measures, but the position also includes emergency responses to alarms.

Examples of tasks:

• Plan and conduct exercises and training related to fire protection for our customers.
• Report and document systematic fire protection work (SBA).
• Maintenance and control of fire equipment, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, defibrillators, etc.
• Gas measurements.
• Prepare evacuation plans.
• Maintenance and care of fire trucks, rescue equipment, and the fire station.
• Participate in on-call duty after training.

Qualifications:

• We prefer that you have prior experience working in rescue services and with preventive fire protection.
• Basic firefighter training: GRIB training or equivalent, or alternatively the Disaster Protection (SMO) training or equivalent.
• If you also have training as a Rescue Leader A or equivalent, it is an advantage.
• Passed medical examination and physical fitness test (rullbandstest).
• Category B driver's license. Category BE and C licenses are an advantage.
• Good computer skills (Office package) are required.
• The position requires you to pass a security clearance check.
• For on-call duty, the requirement for response time is 10 minutes.
