We are now looking for a utility technician within water and wastewater services (VA) who wants to provide excellent service to our municipal residents. (As a utility technician, you will work with the operation of the municipality's pipe network). You will become part of our VA team and work together with colleagues in the operation of the municipality's pipe network. The work includes both planned maintenance and emergency interventions, such as repairs and other field operations. You are also responsible for documentation and follow-up, and serve as an important support within the municipal development activities. Your main workplace is at the wastewater treatment plant, but a large part of the work takes place out in the field together with the team.

At the operations unit, we are today a team of ten colleagues working with the operations in the municipality. In this small municipality, the tasks are varied, and we help each other create a safe and well-functioning environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include among other things:

• Contribute to the development and digitalization of pipe support systems.
• Be responsible for renewal and maintenance of the pipe network, such as operating valves, checking fire hydrants, maintenance flushing, periodic inspections, pipe filming, etc.
• Complete GIS data regarding the pipe network and associated documentation in Geosecma and ArcMap.
• Provide support to municipal development activities in connection with the development of new areas.
• Perform construction work together with excavator operators.
• Assist with other tasks within the operations unit.

As an employee within the VA operations, your main placement is at the wastewater treatment plant. Over time, and through competence development, you will also work at the water treatment plant. On-call duties are included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have education within VA and/or pipe network technology, or alternatively other experience that we assess as equivalent. You also have experience in construction work. A B-driver's license is required for the position. Merit with knowledge of Geosecma and/or ArcMap. You are a careful, initiative-taking, and service-oriented person with good hospitality towards both customers and colleagues.
