Apply for a Nurse Position at the Endoscopy and Gastroenterology Clinic in Bollnäs

Welcome to apply for a truly fun and developing nurse position with us at the endoscopy and gastroenterology clinic in Bollnäs! We treat both medical patients with acute and chronic stomach and intestinal diseases, as well as patients being investigated for surgical conditions in the gastrointestinal tract. We also perform colon cancer screening and place/change some PEG tubes as needed.

The unit is small and efficient, and here work three nurses, one assistant nurse, and a medical secretary. We have four permanent gastroenterologists and also operating surgeons. Most of what we do is planned activity, and we work daytime, Monday to Friday. At request and need, a possible 20% rotation towards the ward may be possible.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will have a central and significant role in the daily work. You meet patients in different stages of their care and contribute to creating security throughout the care process. The work is varied, and you mainly work with planned clinic activities where you get to use your clinical competence while developing new skills. With us, you get the unique opportunity to combine gastro-medical work with assisting in endoscopic examinations.

You work in a small team with close collaboration between professions, which provides good opportunities to influence working methods and contribute to the development of the activity.

Main Responsibilities

• Preparation and care of patients before, during, and after examinations
• Assisting in endoscopic examinations and treatments, including medication management
• Work with the colon cancer screening program
• Scheduling and handling care-related systems such as 1177 and Min Vård Gävleborg
• Telephone advice and patient information, as well as follow-up of medication treatments

You have good cooperation skills and contribute to a secure and positive work environment through professional and empathetic treatment of both patients and colleagues. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and have the ability to make your own decisions in daily work. At the same time, you are stress-resistant and can maintain calm and prioritize correctly even in pressured situations. You have a positive attitude and a desire to continuously develop both your own competence and the activity as a whole.

In this role, you must be a licensed nurse.
