Welcome to the Cardiology Department at Bollnäs Hospital

The Cardiology/Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (HIA) at Bollnäs Hospital has twelve care beds where we treat patients with heart diseases such as angina, myocardial infarction, heart failure, and arrhythmias, as well as post-operative care after heart surgeries and other medical conditions. The unit collaborates with the Cardiac Intervention Center in Gävle, the Cardiology Clinic, and the Physiological Laboratory in Bollnäs. Here, you will work in a dedicated team focused on cardiac care and the patient's well-being.

Job Responsibilities

Working as a nurse at the cardiology department means a varied and meaningful job where you meet patients in both acute and stable phases. Here, you become a key person in the patient's experience of care and an important part of the team that monitors, treats, and supports.

As a nurse with us, you will among other things:

• be the team leader for your care team and coordinate both medical and nursing issues
• caring for patients with various types of medical diseases/heart diseases
• caring for patients monitored with telemetry and ischemia
• administer medication
• engage in dialogue regarding secondary prevention.

Qualifications

We look for you as a nurse with us to have the ability to remain calm and focus on the right things in acute situations. Since the work involves close collaboration with other professional categories, it is important that you have good communication skills and can listen to your colleagues in a constructive way. You are also sensitive to your patients and have the ability to understand their perspective to provide the best possible care. You also need to be able to make quick and well-founded decisions in complex and unpredictable situations. Furthermore, you are a person who sees what needs to be done, takes responsibility, and actively contributes to developing both the work and the joy of working in the team.

In the role of nurse, you must be:

• a licensed nurse.

For this position, it is meritorious if you have experience from work in inpatient care, especially within cardiac and/or emergency care.
