About the role

We are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who wants to help develop future technical solutions for flying applications. You will work in development projects together with several different disciplines where the focus is on the design, construction and verification of mechanical components and systems.

The role involves close collaboration with colleagues within design, testing and integration, among others. You will report to the team leader and section manager and contribute to ensuring that technical solutions meet the requirements throughout the entire development process.

Your responsibilities

• Mechanical design and detailed development for flying applications
• Production of drawings and technical documentation
• Conduct tolerance studies and technical analyses
• Contribute to design, test and integration activities
• Ensure that product requirements are translated into robust design solutions
• Collaborate with other technical disciplines throughout the development cycle
• Contribute to technical solutions in development projects

Your profile

We are looking for you who are structured, responsible and have the ability to work both independently and in a team. We would also like you to have:

• Bachelor's degree, Master of Science in Engineering or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics or Product Development
• Very good knowledge of mechanical design
• Experience in drawing production and tolerance analysis
• Very good knowledge of CATIA V5
• Experience in design, testing, integration or requirements management within the aviation or automotive industry is advantageous
• Understanding of how product requirements are translated through design, verification and testing
• Good ability to document, complete and hand over work in a structured manner
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English

Application process

This is initially a consulting assignment with a chance of extension and employment at Saab in the future.
