LetsGig AB is looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Manager within infrastructure, roads, earthworks, water and sewage, and urban development for a long-term consulting assignment in Örebro.

The assignment is estimated to correspond to approximately 50 percent of full-time work over time, but the scope may vary depending on project phase, meetings, deliveries, and project needs. Therefore, the role is suitable for you who can commit to working half-time long-term, but who also has the flexibility to handle periods with higher workload.

The initial duration of the assignment is 4 years but can be extended up to 8 years.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager who can lead and coordinate complex infrastructure projects in an urban environment. The role includes, among other things, project management from planning and design to contract execution, final inspection, and handover.

You will work on projects that may include roads, earthworks, water and sewage, parks, squares, traffic environments, construction logistics, utility coordination, structures, and collaboration with several external and internal stakeholders.

The work requires confidence in driving projects with many dependencies, high impact on the surroundings, and a need for clear communication with clients, contractors, authorities, businesses, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

In this role, you may, among other things, be responsible for:

  • Leading infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
  • Planning, steering, and monitoring time, cost, quality, and risk.
  • Coordinating design, procurement, ordering, and contract execution.
  • Monitoring contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Managing construction logistics in a complex urban environment.
  • Coordinating work with regard to traffic, pedestrian and cycle paths, public transport, businesses, and residents.
  • Working on projects within roads, earthworks, water and sewage, parks, squares, stormwater, technical infrastructure, and related infrastructure components.
  • Participating in and leading project meetings, construction meetings, coordination meetings, and reviews.
  • Ensuring documentation, minutes, economic monitoring, invoice review, and reporting.
  • Contributing to communication towards relevant stakeholders and interested parties.
  • Ensuring handover to the operations organization and participating in inspections.

Scope and workplace

  • The assignment is estimated to correspond to approximately 50 percent of full-time work over time.
  • The scope may vary between different project phases.
  • The assignment is long-term and can last for several years.
  • Work takes place partly on-site in Örebro and partly remotely according to agreement and project needs.
  • Physical presence in Örebro is required for meetings, coordination, site visits, and critical project moments.
  • You need to be able to start the assignment with a short notice period.

Requirements

To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You have at least 2 years of relevant university, college, or vocational higher education in civil engineering, infrastructure, or equivalent.
  • Alternatively, you have at least 10 years of work experience in the role of project manager, construction manager, site manager, or similar function within roads, earthworks, or infrastructure projects.
  • You have at least 5 years of work experience in the infrastructure industry as a project manager, construction manager, site manager, or similar function within roads, earthworks, or infrastructure projects.
  • You have relevant education or documented competence in contract law.
  • You have relevant education or documented competence in AMA Infrastructure.
  • You have completed BAS-P/BAS-U training.
  • You have very good Swedish skills in speech and writing.
  • You have documented experience leading infrastructure projects with multiple technical areas and multiple involved parties.
  • You can present at least three relevant reference projects from the last ten years.
  • You can work long-term at approximately 50 percent and be on-site in Örebro when needed.

Additional Qualifications

It is highly meritorious if you have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Road and traffic projects in an urban environment.
  • Projects with high requirements for accessibility for car traffic, pedestrian traffic, bicycle traffic, public transport, or emergency services.
  • Water and sewage projects, new laying of utilities, utility coordination, or other utility works.
  • Stormwater solutions, LOD, or stormwater cassettes.
  • Park, square, or urban environment projects.
  • Projects near railways, rail traffic, or other sensitive infrastructure.
  • Projects with significant logistical challenges.
  • Projects with subcontractors, parallel construction projects, or extensive stakeholder coordination.
  • Projects with a budget over 10 million SEK.
  • Projects with a budget over 30 million SEK.
  • Projects with a budget over 60 million SEK.
  • Projects where you were responsible from design to final inspection.
  • Projects within municipal civil engineering administration or equivalent public client environment.
  • Projects encompassing multiple technical areas, such as roads, water and sewage, lighting, traffic signals, utility coordination, ducting, structures, parks, or earthworks.
  • More than 7 years of experience in project management within parks, roads, or infrastructure.
  • More than 10 years of experience in project management within parks, roads, or infrastructure.
