Job Description

AFRY Advanced Automation in Borlänge is part of AFRY's initiative to deliver innovative and sustainable automation solutions to the industry. We work closely with our customers to create efficient, safe, and future-proof systems that contribute to increased productivity and reduced environmental impact. Our team consists of engaged specialists within automation, electrical design, mechanical design, and project management, offering a dynamic work environment where competence development and collaboration are at the center.

In the role of Senior Electrical Designer, you will take overall responsibility for the electrical design in our projects, from the concept phase to final delivery. You will become a key person in the project team, working to develop and quality-assure solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.

In addition to the technical responsibility, you will also function as a sub-project manager, meaning you will plan, coordinate, and follow up on work within your area.

You will have close contact with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that schedules and budgets are maintained and contributing to the high-quality delivery of the project.

The role combines technical expertise with leadership and communication, and you will have the opportunity to influence both details and the overall picture in our projects.

We are looking for you who have extensive experience in electrical design within industrial assignments and are accustomed to working with various design tools and relevant standards.

Requirements

Professional Experience:

• More than 5 years of relevant experience in electrical design within industrial processes or production facilities

Knowledge/Education:

• Relevant formal education in electrical engineering, electrical design, or power systems, or equivalent practical experience
• Good knowledge of documentation tools and the ability to handle and understand different customers' requirement profiles and documentation systems

Language Skills:

• Swedish and English in speech and writing

Meritorious

Professional Experience:

• Experience working in project form, preferably in a leading role within industrial projects
• Experience distributing tasks to younger employees in the project team
• Experience with automation projects related to industrial drive systems
• Process experience from the steel and manufacturing industry as well as energy production

Education:

• Engineering degree in electrical engineering, electrical design, or power systems with an industrial focus
