Do you want to work in a retail environment where food is at the center and the customer always comes first? Coop Gnosjö is now looking for a Frozen and Dairy Manager!

At Coop Gnosjö, you will become an important part of the daily operations of the store. In close contact with both food and customers, you and your colleagues create a store environment that is always welcoming and inspiring. The work is varied and practical, where you, together with the team, are responsible for ensuring the store is fresh and well-stocked every day.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with experience in running a successful retail department. In your role as the Frozen and Dairy Manager, you will offer our customers fresh, well-stocked, and inviting departments all week long.

You have a genuine interest in food, service, and retail work, and thrive in an environment where the pace is often fast and tasks vary. You are meticulous, responsible, and confident in handling stressful situations when needed. The work is physical and involves heavy lifting, which you see as a natural part of daily life in a grocery store. Above all, you are a team player who enjoys collaborating and contributing to a positive and energetic atmosphere among both colleagues and customers.

In your role, you are responsible for monitoring sales against budget and actively working with physical degradation and shrinkage. You find it easy to follow up on economic key figures and work in a goal-oriented manner. Furthermore, you are skilled at communicating, are clear in your leadership, and have a coaching and supportive approach towards your employees. In addition, the role includes the following tasks:

  • Provide world-class service – always see, greet, and help the customer.
  • Ensure that shelves, counters, and freezers are well-stocked, fresh, and faced.
  • Create sales-oriented displays.
  • Work at the checkout.
  • Handle food management.
  • Handle complaints and customer issues.
  • Maintain neatness and order in the store's different departments.
  • Assist with light cleaning, maintenance, and care of equipment.
  • Follow routines regarding shrinkage, physical degradation, and safety.
  • Contribute to a good work climate and actively participate in improvement work.
  • Product orders and receiving checks.
  • Price changes, shelf edge labels, and campaign signage.
  • Handling of CAO (Central Order).

Why choose Coop?

Here, you become part of a business passionate about food, sustainability, and satisfied customers. We offer a secure workplace, good community, and opportunities for development in the grocery retail sector.

The position is a permanent employment of 30 hours/week with a start date of August 17, 2026, or as agreed. Working hours vary, but are mostly scheduled for evenings and every other weekend. Recruitment is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. We apply a probationary period.

Requirements

  • Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing are required.
  • 18 years of age, as you will work independently at the checkout.
  • Experience and competence from retail and/or other service professions.
  • Driver's license and access to a car.

Merits:

  • Basic knowledge of retail economics or food management.
  • Previous experience working with dairy and frozen foods is highly meritorious.
