JOB DESCRIPTION

Miljösamverkan Eastern Skaraborg is now looking for an Environmental Inspector.

As an Environmental Inspector, you will be part of a team working with supervision, permitting, and information within the scope of the Environmental Code. Your primary tasks will include supervising agricultural operations, though other duties within our area of responsibility may also arise. The role involves processing incoming cases and conducting supervision visits at businesses.

Here, you will enjoy a varied and enjoyable job that combines administrative authority work, fieldwork, and customer contact.

You will plan your own supervision, conduct inspections, write reports, decisions, and permits, and follow up to ensure deviations are corrected. An exciting development project to digitize case handling within our operations is currently underway.

Supervision is carried out in project form based on focus areas. The self-organizing teams are given great freedom to structure their planning, follow-up, and improvement work. Our working method is successful and provides good conditions for high engagement and personal development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with a relevant university education, for example, specializing in environmental and health protection inspector, agronomist, farm manager, environmental science, and/or work experience that we assess as equivalent and suitable.

Experience with authority supervision/control in the field and good knowledge of current environmental legislation are meritorious.

Good computer skills are a prerequisite, as is the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish.

Professional experience from working in agricultural industries, providing competence in plant nutrition and plant protection products, is meritorious.

You are a team player who finds it easy to collaborate and contribute to the team's development. You are proactive, results-oriented, and development-focused with a good holistic view.

You are stable and confident in yourself and can distinguish between the personal and your professional role. You are comfortable making difficult/uncomfortable decisions when necessary.

Since the role requires many contacts, we place great value on your communication skills, and good customer service is a given.

A Category B driver's license for a car with a manual gearbox is required.
