What is it really like to work as a blackjack dealer? Linn, one of our employees, shares her story:

What the job actually entails:

You stand at the blackjack table, deal the cards, keep track of the game, and ensure everyone is having a good time. You set the mood. One evening you might have a table full of girls on a bachelorette party, the next evening a company at a Christmas lunch, and then a lovely group out for after-work drinks. You are the face of the operation – warm, clear, and professional.

And no, you don't need to know anything about cards or games. The only requirements are that you are social, calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoy meeting people. You will learn the rest through Cherry's internal training, which is completely free of charge.

Why this specific job?

I have tried just about everything, such as cashier, serving, and telemarketing. This is the first side job that actually feels like more than just trading hours for kronor.

We are looking for someone who contributes to a good atmosphere at the tables, creates a safe gaming environment, and makes guests feel welcome. It is quickly apparent when the right person is there. You are a social person who likes speed and doesn't get stressed when things move fast. You consider evenings and weekends to be prime time.

The practical details:

• Hours: Minimum 4 weekend evenings/month, approx. 20 hours – more if you want
• Schedule: Evenings and nights, primarily Fridays and Saturdays
• Salary: From 161 SEK/h + shift allowance, commission, holiday pay, pension contributions
• Collective agreement via HRF, affiliated with Visita.
• Age limit: 18 years
