NorthLab Photonics is in an exciting growth phase. With increasing demand for its products and services, they are now strengthening their organization and looking for a Service Technician to join their service and repair team.

NorthLab offers an exciting role involving technically complex products and cutting-edge technology in fiber optics. The work is primarily on-site, and you will have two colleagues in the team to support you in your daily tasks.

As a Service Technician, you will mainly handle maintenance, service, and repair of products sent in by customers from all over the world. The work is performed in the lab and repair workshop and includes:

• Troubleshooting, adjustment, and repair of advanced instruments and subsystems
• Work within fine mechanics, electronics, and optics
• Quality assurance with a focus on precision, functionality, and customer satisfaction

A key part of the role is communication with customers regarding service cases, keeping them updated throughout the process and gathering information to improve troubleshooting.

Through internal training, you will gain deep knowledge of fiber optics and photonics, as well as their application areas in fiber lasers, medical technology, sensors, and more.

Your background: We believe you currently work as some form of service technician and have a few years of experience in the field. You have a strong interest in technology and want to develop further within a very exciting technological area. You possess technical competence primarily in fine mechanics and electronics and are skilled in troubleshooting. Experience with fiber optics is an advantage but not a requirement.

Who you are We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and takes responsibility for their work. You are analytical, structured, and meticulous. Good teamwork skills are another trait that defines you, but above all, you are service-oriented and enjoy supporting both colleagues and customers.

For us, your attitude, personality, and ability to quickly grasp new technology are more important than years of experience. English is a language you master both in speech and writing.

Our customers are within telecommunications, medical technology, sensors, metal processing, etc. We are currently 12 people but work in a larger network with partners located all over the world.
