Miljösamverkan Östra Skaraborg is a municipal association responsible for, among other things, food control and environmental law supervision in our member municipalities: Essunga, Falköping, Hjo, Karlsborg, Skövde, and Tibro.

Job Description

Do you want a job where you make a real difference for people and the environment? We are looking for you who are starting your studies to become an environmental inspector this autumn and wish to work in a varied role where you contribute to a sustainable future. As a student employee at Miljösamverkan Östra Skaraborg, you will have the opportunity to practice your academic knowledge through assignments within our operations, parallel to your studies. We offer you relevant and qualified work experience, a mentor, valuable contacts, and a salary. The working hours correspond to approximately 8-15 hours per week.

We are seeking a student employee, specializing in environmental and public health inspection, who is interested in participating in and contributing to supervision work focused on environmental protection. You will be given tasks that provide you with experience in administrative authority work as well as fieldwork. This could involve work with contaminated sites, small sewage systems, agricultural inventories, or waste management. You will participate in supervision according to the Environmental Code with the aim of creating a sustainable society for current and future generations.

• Employment according to the terms of the agreement for student employees.
• Working hours are limited to a maximum of 15 hours on average per week during the term. The scheduling is agreed upon upon hiring. We are keen on ensuring you can combine work with us with your studies.

Qualifications

Who are you?

• You are studying to become an environmental and public health inspector throughout the period (Autumn Term 2026), e.g., the course in environmental and public health at the University of Gothenburg (www.gu.se (http://www.gu.se/studera/hitta-utbildning/miljo-och-halsoskydd-for-naturvetare-es2408)).
• You have an interest in environmental and public health issues.
• You are a team player who cooperates easily.
• You are stable and confident in yourself.
• You are structured, proactive, results-oriented, and development-focused with a good holistic perspective.
• Since the role requires many contacts, we place great value on your communication skills, and a good attitude towards others is a given.

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.
