Liljeforstorg 4 is a specialized housing facility focusing on dementia, nursing care, and social psychiatry, with 70 places. We have been Silviacertified since 2015. The Liljeforstorg residential home is located in the Gränby/Salabacke district, close to central Uppsala. You can easily get here by bus and bicycle. We have been a self-operated facility since 2012 and work on behalf of Uppsala Municipality.

In the role of nursing assistant, you work with care and support based on the client's wishes, in accordance with benefit decisions, and always with a strong focus on quality. You work, for example, with helping with personal hygiene, meal preparation and serving, answering alarms, and providing social interaction. Social interaction is an important part of our work so that all our residents can live life, for life. This can range from conversing, playing games, going on excursions, taking a bike ride, or finding fun activities to do together. You also work with delegated tasks from licensed staff in the form of medication management and training.

Job Description

We are currently looking for two colleagues with employment levels of 79% and 82%. One position is on the dementia unit and one on the nursing care unit. The positions are permanent, and we apply a 6-month probation period. Scheduled working hours include evenings and weekends. Start date by agreement, but no earlier than August/September.

To be considered for the position, you need:

• A certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare as a nursing assistant
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

We also consider it an advantage if you have specialized training in dementia and previous experience in elderly care and dementia care.

To thrive in the role, you are engaged and care about your fellow human beings, while being good at building good relationships and being service-oriented. At our facility, we work both in teams and independently, so it is important that you are comfortable in this environment.

Before we offer employment, you must show an extract from the police criminal record. We also require a valid Swedish work permit, such as a passport or an approved work permit from the Swedish Migration Agency.
