Job Responsibilities

As a cook, you will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and serving of delicious, safe, and nutritious meals with consideration for the environment. Other important tasks include responsibility for special diets, bread baking, participation in the planning of daily operations and purchasing, openness to preparing new dishes, and the daily handling of both dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen and dining hall. As a cook in Karlskrona Municipality's kitchens, you must be able to taste the food that is prepared and served.

Qualifications

• Cooking education (large kitchen/restaurant) or experience that the employer values as equivalent.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of allergies and special diets.
• Documented experience.
• Extensive knowledge/passion for cooking, food quality, environmental awareness, and a guest-focused approach.
• At least 3 years of documented experience working as a cook within the last 5 years, as well as experience in cooking in large quantities.
• Daily work requires good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills.
