HUL is a workplace where you have the opportunity to develop – both within the operations and further within Uppsala Municipality. Here you work independently, while being part of a supportive team with dedicated colleagues.

One of the biggest advantages is that you get to make a difference for others every day – by contributing to people having a functional and independent daily life.

Hjälpmedel i Uppsala län (HUL) is located at Palmbladsgatan 8 in Uppsala. We coordinate the handling of assistive devices in Uppsala County and serve as a competence and resource center for advanced assistive device issues.

We enable people in Uppsala County to perform activities important to them despite disabilities in their daily lives. Our working hours are 07:30–16:00, Monday–Friday, and you will be part of the transport team of 5 people.

Description of Duties

In this role, you will, among other things, plan and contact ordering prescribers and users. As part of the assignment, you will pick up and deliver assistive devices to homes and storage facilities, as well as report in administrative systems. Reconditioning and servicing of certain assistive devices are also included in the assignment. The work involves some heavy lifting and physically demanding environments, requiring good physical fitness.

The work is largely carried out in the user's home. This means that as an employee, you need to show great respect for the user's privacy and daily environment, as well as maintain a humble and professional attitude.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has completed upper secondary education and who expresses themselves well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You have a Category C driver's license and are qualified to drive heavy trucks, and you thrive in a role where you take responsibility and work independently. Experience from service professions is a big plus – you have a positive attitude and enjoy meeting people in your work. You are also accustomed to working in various operational systems and feel secure in digital working methods. If you also have experience working within rehabilitation and assistive devices, we will be especially pleased, as this is an important part of the assignment.

As a person, you are easy to collaborate with and build good relationships with others. You are attentive in your interactions and communicate in a clear and smooth manner. When challenges arise, you handle them constructively and contribute to finding solutions. You are calm, observant, and accommodating, and have a genuine commitment to helping others.

With your willpower and drive, you ensure that you deliver good solutions in your work. You also have the ability to see the big picture and understand how your work affects the operations as a whole. You take responsibility in your role and make decisions that contribute to the best interests of the operations.
