Become a Pool Nurse at Region Gävleborg

The staffing unit is part of the HR department and is tasked with supporting Region Gävleborg's operations with short-term staffing. As a pool-employed nurse, you will be introduced to several of our wards, including orthopedics, medicine, and cardiology. Within healthcare, we work together from the patient's perspective with the goal "Our shared responsibility for our shared patient" so that everyone we meet feels safe and receives high-quality care.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse, your task is to staff wards at Hudiksvall Hospital to help and support staff during absences. You will be introduced to 4–5 different wards. The nature of the work will vary as you will work broadly with several shorter assignments based on the needs of our wards. The work involves shift scheduling throughout all hours of the day and all days of the year, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

As a nurse with us, you will among other things:

• administer medication
• coordinate nursing and medical interventions in close collaboration with assistant nurses and doctors
• perform ward-specific nursing tasks

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a great commitment and enjoy variety where no day is like the other. You have good cooperation skills, communicate well, and convey messages adapted to the recipient. You are receptive and have the ability to put yourself in others' perspectives or situations. Furthermore, we see that you can prioritize tasks, maintain focus in pressurized situations, and quickly handle problems that arise. At the same time, you are self-reliant and adapt easily to changed circumstances.

As a nurse with us, you must have:

• registration as a nurse
• at least four years of clinical experience
• good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is meritorious if you have broad experience from different care areas and/or experience of emergency care. If you have experience with the care system Cosmic, this is also meritorious for the position.
