Together with one of our largest clients in the energy sector, we are now looking for radio physicists who want to take the next step in their careers and help solve concrete challenges related to radiation safety and sustainable management of radioactive material.

We are looking for someone who knows their radio physics and enjoys solving tricky technical challenges. You will work on projects within decommissioning and nuclear power. It is an exciting role where you are a key player in ensuring a safe and efficient clearance process. More specifically, the role involves:

• Performing radiological surveys and analyses to ensure the safe handling of radioactive material.
• Clearing, reviewing, and approving clearance cases, as well as making decisions regarding external treatment and clearance of materials.
• Developing and implementing measurement methods for activity determination of waste.
• Participating in risk assessments and the design of radiation protection measures.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements and safety standards.

The position is located in Oskarshamn, where both our office and the client are based.

Who are you?

• A Master of Science degree in Technical Physics, Radio Physics, Nuclear Physics, or a qualified Hospital Physicist.
• Experience working with radiation safety and protection.
• An analytical thinker with attention to detail.

It is a plus if you have experience from nuclear facilities and knowledge of national and international regulations, but this is not a requirement.
