Your Responsibilities

Do you want to be part of creating world-class superstructures and trailers for heavy vehicles? At PLS in Rydaholm, we are expanding our workforce and are therefore looking for you who have an interest, manual skills, and a strong work ethic. As an electrician at PLS, you work in production together with the rest of the team. Their box and trailer constructions are individualized to each customer's order, which means the work rarely has a "assembly line" character. This means that as an installer, you need to be attentive and have the ability to understand what you are doing in each work step and adapt. Even though you work together, it is important that you feel confident performing tasks on your own and are not afraid to ask if there is something you do not understand or think is wrong.

What you will work with

As a vehicle electrician, you work with the installation and troubleshooting of electrical systems in vehicles. The work covers everything from traditional electrical systems to advanced electronics in modern trucks.

Tasks

• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems in vehicles
• Repair and replace components such as wiring, sensors, control units, and batteries
• Install electrical equipment (e.g., lighting, alarms, GPS, multimedia)
• Work with diagnostic tools and software to read fault codes
• Service and maintain the vehicles' electrical systems
• Document performed work
• Ensure that the work follows current safety regulations
• Collaborate with mechanics and other technicians

Competency Requirements

• Vocational education in vehicle technology with a focus on electricity/electronics or equivalent experience
• Good knowledge of vehicle electrical systems
• Experience with diagnostic tools and troubleshooting
• Ability to read electrical diagrams
• Basic IT skills

The position is a permanent full-time employment with an initial probationary period. The working hours are scheduled during the day. Possibility of night shift may exist for the right person in the future, but as a new employee, you always start on the day shift to learn all work tasks and to have access to experienced supervision.
