What does the role entail?

As Airport Manager at Visby Airport, you will play a central role in leading and developing an airport where safety, service, and business development are in focus. In this role, you are responsible for leading operations in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and authority requirements. You are responsible for the development, efficiency, and management of the airport, operational activities, and ensuring that processes and routines are followed throughout the operations.

You play a key role in representing Visby Airport and Swedavia in the region, and together with our key stakeholders, you contribute to both the aviation sector's climate transition and the region's development and accessibility.

As Airport Manager, you are part of the management group for Swedavia's regional airports, giving you a broad network and significant involvement in jointly developing these airports and their important contribution to Swedish accessibility.

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced leader who has been involved in developing organizations and processes. We believe you have an academic education in economics, engineering, or equivalent, and at least 10 years of leadership experience in operational activities. You are business- and results-oriented and are accustomed to having budget responsibility for a large operation. You are experienced in driving change, handling complex issues, and have a good ability to build networks, both internally and externally, with society, business life, and regional actors. You easily switch between strategic tasks and a more operational focus.

As a person, you are structured, unpretentious, and proactive. You have strong pedagogical and communication skills and can motivate others to work towards common goals. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

You have the ability to adapt your workday to a changing environment. You recognize the importance of creating, maintaining, and developing good relationships with many different stakeholders in a large workplace.
