Markverkstad Skaraborg is a department within the Army Staff unit, and we have approximately 130 employees. We primarily perform maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground equipment, as well as some work for the Air Force and the Navy. This entails maintenance in the form of inspection, renovation, repair, new manufacturing, disassembly, and modification.

You will join Markverkstad Skaraborg, which operates in Karlsborg and Såtenäs. This position is located in Karlsborg and is part of the Machine/Smithy detail with 16 employees.

Main Responsibilities

As a machinist, you will primarily work with machining, manufacturing, repair, maintenance, reading drawings, and programming NC machines (Mazak), mainly focusing on turning, but also performing various other tasks on the Swedish Armed Forces' equipment and systems. The work involves both preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as modification and reconstruction based on established specifications.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• At least a completed two- or three-year upper secondary education in workshop technology or mechanical engineering, or other equivalent education, or competence acquired through professional experience assessed by the employer as equivalent.
• Previous experience working as an NC operator in a similar field.
• Category B driver's license.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience and knowledge of workshop operations and equipment maintenance in the Swedish Armed Forces.
• Forklift license.
• Computer literacy.
• Experience with Mazak's control system Mazatrol.
