On July 1, 2026, Boreal will take over the contract for Kiruna local public transport! This is something we are truly looking forward to, as all routes will be electrified with new, modern buses.

In preparation for autumn, we are looking for more dedicated bus drivers to join our team! Do you have a bus license but lack YKB (Swedish transport authority certification)? For the right candidate, we offer all five parts of the YKB course.

Qualifications and Skills

For this position, a Category D driver's license is required. We can offer YKB certification for those who do not yet have it.

As a bus driver, it is important that you convey a positive feeling about riding the bus and that you take significant personal responsibility. You will transport our customers in a safe and pleasant manner and assist them with any questions or concerns. You must have a positive attitude and be willing to treat every customer exactly as you would like to be treated.

You must understand and communicate fluently in Swedish.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of bus driver in Kiruna, you will drive local route traffic as well as train transfers. In addition to driving, the job includes reporting faults and damages. The work is social and suits you if you enjoy service-oriented tasks and customer interaction. There is also an opportunity to combine the bus driver role with work in the wash bay, which includes washing, cleaning, and minor repairs.
