About YLAB

YLAB is a family-owned construction company with roots in Småland and operations based in Jönköping, but with projects across Sweden. Since 1977, the company has built its success on engagement, quality, and long-term relationships.

Your future workplace

YLAB continues to grow within the residential sector and is now looking for a Foreman who wants to drive residential projects in:

  • Södermanland
  • Östergötland
  • Närke

In the future, projects in other parts of Sweden may also occur, giving you the opportunity to develop within a broad and varied project portfolio.

Your new role

As a Foreman, you will have an important role close to production. You will support the Site Manager, lead the daily work on-site, and ensure that the project moves forward with the right quality, pace, and structure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support skilled workers and subcontractors in their daily work.
  • Plan and follow up on work tasks, deliveries, and materials.
  • Ensure that schedules, quality, and working environment standards are met.
  • Participate in construction meetings and coordinate with the Site Manager and project management.
  • Work with documentation, self-inspections, and ongoing follow-up.
  • Contribute to good communication between the various parties involved in the project.

You will receive a clear introduction at YLAB's headquarters in Jönköping and Hultseryd before stepping into the projects.

About you

To thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you are a confident and engaged person who enjoys being close to production and driving work forward. You are structured, strong in planning, and have an easy time creating order even when the pace is high.

You communicate clearly and professionally, build good relationships, and thrive in a role where collaboration is central. At the same time, you are unpretentious and solution-oriented – you see opportunities where others see obstacles and adapt quickly when the project requires it.

You create security within the team and get people to work towards the same goal.

We would like you to have:

  • Experience from residential production or similar construction projects.
  • Previous role as a Foreman, Assistant Site Manager, or similar.
  • University education within construction or equivalent experience.
  • Good computer skills and ability to work in digital systems.
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English.
  • Valid driver's license (Category B).

Meritorious

  • BAS P/U certification.

Where culture meets people

With a strong value base, short decision-making paths, and a culture where professionalism and unpretentiousness go hand in hand, YLAB currently drives projects within industry, commercial real estate, and residential production.

Here, experienced, helpful, and engaged colleagues work together, giving you the right conditions to succeed and develop.

We are here

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Apply today – we look forward to hearing more about how you can and want to contribute in the role!
