At AniCura Gärdet Veterinary Clinic, we believe that good animal healthcare starts with a secure team. Here, veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and animal care assistants work closely together in a family-like environment where we support each other, share knowledge, and together create the best possible care for our patients. We are now looking for a Ward Manager who wants to continue driving the clinic forward.
AniCura Gärdet Veterinary Clinic
AniCura Gärdet Veterinary Clinic is a personal and well-equipped clinic with broad expertise. We are centrally located in the heart of Stockholm, serving loyal and friendly pet owners. We work in teams with specializations in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, ultrasound, and dentistry. Here, you will find varied and developmental work at a veterinary clinic offering a wide range of healthcare services for dogs and cats.
Gärdet Veterinary Clinic is characterized by a dedicated and independent staff group where community, responsibility, and involvement are important parts of our culture. The employees are experienced and used to working independently, and they appreciate leadership that is clear, attentive, and present.
Here, you have great opportunities to influence your working day and your continued professional development. We want you to want to stay with us for a long time and develop together with us!
About the Role
As Ward Manager, you have overall responsibility for the clinic's personnel, operations, and development. You are a key person in the business and part of the clinic's management group, contributing both operationally and strategically.
The role combines active clinical work with leadership and business development, giving you a close connection to both the team and daily operations. You work clinically for approximately three days per week and are active in the daily flow at the clinic. This gives you a crucial anchoring in the business and a good understanding of both patients, employees, and processes.
We welcome both licensed veterinary nurses and veterinarians to apply for the position. It is a great advantage if you have experience from animal healthcare and feel secure in a clinical environment.
Your ward consists of approximately 20 employees, including veterinarians, veterinary nurses, animal care assistants, and reception staff. You lead the group in daily life and create conditions for a sustainable, efficient, and well-functioning work environment.
Your main areas of responsibility include:
- Personnel responsibility, including employee meetings and salary setting
- Staff planning and resource allocation
- Competence development and follow-up development meetings
- Operational responsibility for the clinic's operations, flows, and quality
- Coordination and collaboration with other wards and veterinary hospitals within AniCura
- Responsibility for reporting results and continuous follow-up of the business's key figures and development
- Participation in the management group and the clinic's development work
- Contribute to developing the business in line with goals and strategy
In this role, you are the one who holds the whole together in daily life, where clinical presence, clear leadership, and business development meet in practice. You create structure and direction, and contribute to the team and the business developing in a sustainable and long-term way.
Who We Think You Are
We are looking for you who have experience of personnel responsibility and leadership and who thrive best when you get to be close to the operations, make decisions in daily life, and at the same time keep an eye on the big picture. You are confident in leading both people and operations in an environment where a lot happens – and where your ability to create structure and direction really shows.
We welcome both licensed veterinary nurses and veterinarians to apply for the position. If you have experience from animal healthcare, we see this as very meritorious, as it gives you a good understanding of clinical flows, priorities, and the reality of daily life.
You are a person who:
- Has a strong holistic perspective and understands how different decisions affect both the team and the business
- Communicates clearly, while being attentive and creating trust in dialogue with others
- Is driven by development and sees change as a natural part of improving working methods and results
- Thrives in an independent role where you take responsibility in daily life and dare to make decisions
- Creates engagement by involving, clarifying direction, and building trust in the team
What We Offer
At AniCura Gärdet Veterinary Clinic, you get to work in a smaller clinic with strong community spirit, where every employee is an important part of the whole.
We offer you:
- A family-like work environment with high well-being
- A tight-knit team where people support each other
- A varied role where clinical work is combined with leadership and development
- Opportunity to influence the business and contribute to the clinic's continued development
- A workplace where care, quality, and collaboration are at the center
For many of us, it is precisely the combination of professional development and a warm work culture that makes us happy and want to stay for a long time.
