Leading Mechanic at Nobina Jordbro

We are currently seeking a Lead Mechanic (1st Mechanic) for our workshop in Jordbro, Södertörn traffic area. We are looking for someone who can maintain order and ensure our buses run safely. About the Role

As a Lead Mechanic, you play a crucial role in the daily operations of the workshop. You lead and distribute work while serving as an active and supportive role model on the floor. The role combines operational work with responsibility for structure, quality, and teamwork. You coach mechanics in their daily tasks and contribute practically with servicing, repairs, and troubleshooting of our buses.

At Nobina, you work in a modern and developing environment where sustainable transport solutions are the focus. You become part of the future of public transport and work with technology related to, among other things, biofuels and electrified traffic. For those with experience, work may also include wrapping, bodywork, and interior repairs. Shift work may occur in some regions to ensure the delivery of traffic services.

Examples of other responsibilities in the role:

• Ensure work orders are filled out correctly
• Ensure correct withdrawal of spare parts during the shift
• Optimize workflow for high fleet availability
• Support the maintenance manager in long-term planning
• Contribute to high efficiency and good structure in the workshop
• Responsible for order and cleanliness according to 5S
• Act as a substitute for the maintenance manager if needed

Personal Qualities and Requirements

To succeed in this role, we see that you handle stressful situations and environments with calmness and confidence. You are outgoing and flexible, value collaboration with colleagues, but also thrive when working independently when required. To work as a Lead Mechanic with us, you also need:

• Experience in a leadership position. Preferably professional, but can also be within club life or equivalent.
• An automotive technical education or equivalent experience with heavy vehicles/buses.
• Proficiency in using computers to handle diagnostic programs, digital work orders, and maintenance instructions.
• A valid driver's license for passenger cars (Category B)

Having a C or D driver's license or an AC certificate is an extra merit.

Fossil fuels are being phased out in favor of electricity and biofuels. Electrification brings new challenges to workshops, so experience with modern technology and electric vehicles is therefore a big plus!

About the Position

The position is full-time with a location in Jordbro. We offer a probationary period and individual salary setting.
