LetsGig AB is looking for a highly experienced Assistant Project Manager for a long-term and technically complex infrastructure and industrial project in Gothenburg. This role is suited for you if you have substantial experience from large construction and infrastructure projects, preferably with elements of rock, tunnel, concrete, technical installations, and coordination between multiple disciplines.
This is not an administrative project coordinator role. We are seeking a senior project manager profile who can work closely with project leadership, take independent responsibility for defined areas, and contribute with structure, progress, risk management, and professional coordination in a large project with many stakeholders.
About the Assignment
You will work as an Assistant Project Manager in a large infrastructure project with high technical and organizational complexity. The project includes extensive earthworks and site preparation, rock works, advanced concrete structures, technical installations, and coordination between several technical areas.
The role involves supporting the Project Manager in planning, control, coordination, and monitoring through the various phases of the project, from design and procurement to production, handover, and commissioning.
Examples of Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in the daily control and coordination of the project.
- Monitor time, cost, risk, quality, and progress.
- Coordinate work between different technical areas, consultants, contractors, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings, design meetings, construction meetings, and coordination meetings.
- Produce and follow up on project documentation, schedules, meeting minutes, decision materials, and status reports.
- Support planning and execution of design, procurement, production, and handover.
- Identify, monitor, and manage risks, deviations, and critical moments.
- Monitor contracts, agreements, and deliveries.
- Contribute to economic monitoring, budget work, and forecasts.
- Coordinate tasks within the project organization.
- Support communication and collaboration with internal and external actors.
- Contribute to developing and implementing working methods, routines, and processes in the project.
Workplace and Scope
- The assignment is full-time.
- The work is performed on-site in Gothenburg.
- Remote work is not the starting point for this role.
- Start date is tentatively October 5, 2026.
- The assignment is long-term and may last for several years.
- Travel, commuting, accommodation, per diems, and other costs must be handled within the consultant's arrangement.
- The work takes place in a technically advanced infrastructure environment where safety, security, and confidentiality rules apply.
Requirements
You must meet all the requirements below to be considered.
- At least eight years of experience in a leading role on the client side and/or contractor side within construction and infrastructure projects.
- The experience should be from roles such as Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Construction Manager, Site Manager, or similar, with responsibility for time, economy, quality, coordination, or execution.
- You must be able to present at least three relevant reference assignments, or alternatively one major assignment that has lasted at least three years within the last six years.
- At least one of your reference projects must have had a total project or program cost of at least 300 million SEK.
- At least one of your reference projects must have involved multidisciplinary coordination between several technical and installation disciplines, such as building, earthworks, rock, structure, process, HVAC, power, instrumentation, control, or automation.
- At least one of your reference projects must have involved complex infrastructure works with significant elements of rock excavation and/or rock tunnels.
- At least one of your reference projects must have involved extensive cast-in-place concrete structures.
- You must have had an active and significant role in the coordination, planning, and execution of the projects you cite.
- You must be fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing.
- You must have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in English.
- You must have good knowledge of contract law.
- You must be able to work full-time on-site in Gothenburg from tentatively October 2026.
- You must be able to undergo standard security clearance and follow current safety, confidentiality, and protection rules at the workplace.
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is structured, secure, and communicative. You need to be able to create progress even in complex environments where many issues are interdependent. You are accustomed to working both operationally and strategically, and you have the ability to translate experience from previous projects into practical solutions in new contexts.
You should be analytical, clear, and unpretentious, but at the same time experienced enough to drive issues forward, identify risks early, and create order in projects with many stakeholders.
