You will join a department with approx. 40 engaged and knowledgeable colleagues who have various supporting positions. Here we work to support management at all different levels spread across 25 locations in Sweden.

Main tasks

As a staff assistant in the Support Section at Markverkstad's staff department, your main tasks will be to support the unit's HR generalists and education coordinators with administration and follow-up. A central part of the position will be the distribution of incoming tasks and information to the unit and further out into the organization.

In addition, you will work with staff administrative tasks such as drawing up letters, minutes, handling IT cases, preparation and compilation of background material. You will also cooperate with other sections and departments and sometimes assist in solving tasks where there is a need. Business travel occurs.

Examples of tasks may include:

  • Administration of newly hired personnel
  • Reports and registry maintenance
  • Keeping the intranet, competence register and needs lists updated
  • Entry of time-limited permissions in PRIO
  • Follow-up of utilized education places
  • Compiling course evaluations and other statistics

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Current completed conscription or GMU in the Swedish Armed Forces with approved results
  • Complete upper secondary education with approved grades
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
  • Good ability to handle Microsoft Office applications
  • Class B driver's license

Personal qualities

We see that you are structured, careful and that you deliver results with the right quality and within the allotted time. You are cooperative and solution-oriented both in groups and individually towards a common goal. Being service-oriented and having a good ability to maintain a positive attitude comes naturally even under time pressure. It is important that you are a good representative of the Swedish Armed Forces and stand behind the Armed Forces' value base.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Merits

  • Experience of working in an administrative function/position with similar tasks within the Swedish Armed Forces.
  • Experience working in systems PRIO, VIDAR and Emilia/Sharepoint.
  • Signals protection training.
  • Completed staff assistant training within the Swedish Armed Forces.

The work also entails requirements for travel and duty.

>* Fixed-term employment according to "Agreement on fixed-term employment with continuous service for group commanders, soldiers and sailors in the Swedish Armed Forces" which means a fixed-term employment of up to eight years with the possibility of extension for another four years. The employment starts with a 6-month probation period if it is your first employment as GSS/K.
