JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to make a real difference where your skills are needed the most?

As a Nurse within the Health and Medical Care Office, you play a key role in creating security for the residents of Gävle during all the night hours. Here, you become an important part of the municipality's health and medical care, making a difference every shift.

You work night shifts in a team with another nurse and are responsible for health and medical care interventions for patients within the municipality's care and nursing homes, home care, LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities), and social psychiatry. The work is independent and varied, involving planned interventions, on-site medical assessments, and telephone advice to patients, relatives, and care staff.

Your responsibilities include:

• Carrying out planned health and medical care interventions.
• Conducting medical assessments on-site and via telephone.
• Providing qualified advice to patients, relatives, and care staff.
• Responsible for medical documentation according to current guidelines.

You work preventively with a focus on the patient's health and well-being, always taking a holistic view to ensure good, safe, and high-quality care. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues in health and medical care and nursing. You belong to one of our area offices and report to the responsible manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a Nurse within the Health and Medical Care Office, you help create security when it is needed most during all the night hours. You are a significant part of the municipality's health and medical care, making a difference for the residents of Gävle, every shift.

• Registered nurse and confident in working independently, especially at night.
• Valid B-driver's license and driving experience.
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, and experienced in documentation.

Merits for the position include specialist training as a district nurse or in geriatrics, or experience of municipal health and medical care. Experience with medical record systems such as Treserva, TES, Lifecare, Pascal, and NPÖ is also desirable.
