We are looking for a Technical Specialist for load-bearing calculations for a traffic authority.

This is a consultancy assignment. The location of the assignment is Stockholm.

The position is at 50% of a full-time role.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role involves working as a technical specialist in load-bearing calculations and contributing specialist competence in construction and civil engineering structures. The assignment includes supporting technical experts in concrete and steel bridge and infrastructure structures, with a focus on requirement specification, requirement fulfillment, and load-bearing calculations primarily for bridge structures. The role also includes technical specialist support, review of project documentation, and participation in the development and updating of guidelines and governing documents within the specialist area.

Responsibilities

• Perform load-bearing calculations of bridge structures (bridge classification)
• Support experts in developing and updating guidelines and other governing documents within the specialist area
• Provide technical specialist support to experts
• Review project documentation

Requirements (Mandatory)

• Master of Science degree in Road & Water Engineering/Civil Engineering.
• At least 10 years of documented experience in bridge classification.
• At least 15 years of documented experience in design within infrastructure and bridge structures.
• At least 15 years of experience in calculation using the finite element method and load-bearing calculations.
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience in classifying railway structures. At least 10 projects.
• Experience working within infrastructure management, at least 3 projects.
• At least 10 years of documented experience working with AB04 or ABT06.
• At least 10 years of documented experience working with AMA Infrastructure and AMA AF.
