Svenska Turistföreningen (STF) operates nine mountain stations

Life at a mountain station is varied, exciting, and educational – just like a day on the mountain can be. In addition to accommodation, food, and nature experiences, our operations are built on human connections. Through our interactions with guests, we create memories, share knowledge, and offer extraordinary experiences.

The restaurant visit is a major part of the stay with us, and it is important to us to offer well-prepared meals made from high-quality ingredients with warm hospitality. As a chef, you play a key role in ensuring every guest has a memorable overall experience. Wild game, organic produce, and locally sourced ingredients are important choices for us. What does the role of chef entail?

• Plan, prepare, and cook meals
• Present food in an appealing way
• Optionally support the mountain station with other tasks

We often work in small teams where flexibility and initiative are key. The positions are diverse and cover several areas of responsibility.

Who are you?

• Have experience in the culinary profession and basic knowledge of food safety, self-control, and HACCP
• Have a burning passion for cooking
• Are a team player who wants to be part of a wonderful team
• Are responsible and keen to contribute to the overall guest experience
• Have good proficiency in Swedish and/or English
• Are good at collaborating and appreciate communal living, as we both live and work together

What can you expect as an employee?

• Employment type: Seasonal employment, June 15 – September 30
• Work load: 85%
• Monthly salary according to collective agreement: Visita/HRF's Green National Agreement and Tourist Supplement
• Work schedule follows the needs of the operation, including weekdays, weekends, daytime, and evening shifts
• Meal deduction according to collective agreement, regulated by the Swedish Tax Agency
