We are looking for a Technical Specialist in Building Structures for a government agency within the transport sector.

This is a consultancy assignment. The assignment currently allows for remote work.

The position is at 50% of a full-time equivalent.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

We are seeking a technical support specialist within bridge and facility construction with specialist competence in concrete and steel. The role involves supporting technical experts within track substructure in development, investment, and reinvestment projects related to rail traffic infrastructure. The assignment includes requirement specification, technical specialist support, and ensuring compliance with requirements within the specialist area. The assignment can currently be performed remotely.

Responsibilities

• Participate in strategic development projects as needed and develop project-specific system requirements.
• Participate in preliminary studies as needed and compile investigations and reports.
• Support experts in developing and updating guidelines and other governing documents within the specialist area.
• Provide technical specialist support to administration, investment, and reinvestment projects.
• Review project documentation.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

• Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering (Road & Water/Social Infrastructure).
• At least 15 years of documented work experience as a bridge designer.
• Hold a valid, approved concrete education: Concrete Class II and I.
• Good knowledge of relevant regulations, e.g., Eurocodes (EKS), Swedish Transport Administration regulations (e.g., TRVK/TRVR Bro), and Traffic Administration safety regulations.
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits

• At least 10 years of experience reviewing design documentation for load-bearing structures.
• At least 10 years of experience working within rail-bound infrastructure (railway, metro, or tram).
• At least 10 years of experience with life-span assessments and load-bearing investigations.
