Psykosvård Stockholm is a newly established operation within the Stockholm County Council's healthcare area. Here, we gather care for patients over 18 years of age with psychotic illness in an organizational unit. We offer assessment, investigation, and treatment according to national guidelines and regional care programs. Within Psykosvård Stockholm, we conduct development work, education, and research regarding psychotic illness. We work in multidisciplinary teams to make the care and treatment around the patient as good as possible.
Description
We are now looking for a nurse who wants to help shape the future of psychotic care.
The Psychosis Unit in Södertälje strives for high flexibility, accessibility, and individualized interventions. We offer clinic visits and also home visits if needed.
Here, nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, psychologists, counselors, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries work together to offer patients with psychotic illnesses support and care in their rehabilitation. The unit has two psychosis teams offering treatment to patients with chronic psychotic illness, as well as a team specifically focused on receiving patients with first-episode psychosis.
We are a well-functioning and fully staffed unit with very good cohesion among the staff. We have a well-established and engaged group of six permanently employed nurses. Since some of these are currently working part-time, we are looking for nurses interested in a developing and flexible job on an hourly basis.
Tasks
As an hourly employed nurse, you will work with defined tasks that primarily involve working in medication dispensing. Of course, you will be given the opportunity for an introduction to the tasks and the unit's work. Possibly, other tasks may become relevant based on your own interest and the operation's needs.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with a couple of years of experience in the profession. Previous experience of working within psychiatry, interest in psychotic illnesses, and experience of working with the patient group are meritorious.
To take on the role, you need to be self-reliant and secure in your profession.
Furthermore, you need to be proactive in your work and quickly able to get used to new routines and tasks. Flexibility, teamwork skills, and a high degree of commitment are also qualities we value highly. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
Conditions
Intermittent employment, hourly employment as needed. Working hours may vary Mon-Fri 8-16.30. There are great opportunities to influence both the extent of the work and the scheduling of working hours by choosing the days that suit you. Start date by agreement.

Regarding patient-facing work within Stockholm County Council:
- register control is applied before a decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register control at employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new hire medical examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
