Stockholm Exergi is Stockholm's energy company, and we are approximately 800 employees who work every day to reduce the climate impact on Stockholmers. We heat over 800,000 residents, and our 300-mile-long district heating network is the hub for the societal benefits we create. We have now started the construction of a carbon capture facility at our bio-cogeneration plant in Värtan, with the potential to capture 800,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year, which is more than what Stockholm's road traffic emits during the same period. What can we offer you?
As a Mechanical Technician at Stockholm Exergi, you will work with both preventive and corrective maintenance through our workshops. We are a tightly knit team working with all types of mechanics at our process plants, and your tasks will include repairing and maintaining everything from pumps and valves to conveyors - both older and newer models. You will also lead daily lubrication and handle work orders in our business system.
We view positively your interest in deepening knowledge in areas such as tribology and vibration measurement. Stockholm Exergi is a large company with many opportunities. If you have the right attitude and drive, there are good development opportunities here. The position includes standby weeks which currently go on a rolling schedule every sixth week. This means you need to be available and able to get to the workplace quickly if needed.
Our cogeneration plants are in full operation year-round, but especially during the high-load season when it is cold, as well as during our annual maintenance shutdowns which usually take place between May and September. During these periods, your role is extra important, which means we need to plan vacations and leave carefully. We want to be clear about this from the beginning to ensure that we can maintain our high operational safety.
The role is a permanent position and involves daytime work with a placement at Hammarbyverket.

Requirements
- Upper secondary education with a focus on building management, roads and water, energy technology, or other education combined with role-relevant experience, or alternatively studying at upper secondary school or university/college with a technical focus
- Experience of work within maintenance and operations
- Category B driver's license
- Good communication skills and can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
- Swedish citizenship
