We are facing an exciting change within the preschool sector as we now take over the cleaning services in-house.

In the Skärholmen District Office, we have a total of 18 municipal preschools and 3 open preschools. Our preschools are located in a multicultural area with apartment buildings, terraced houses, and villas. Communication opportunities are good, and the preschools are surrounded by beautiful natural environments.

You will work in an operation that always puts the child at the center. We are looking for you who are driven by and want to help ensure a safe, hygienic, and clean environment for our children every day.

Organizationally, you will belong to one of the preschool's units and work across several preschools. The daily work will be led by our group leader for cleaning services, and your nearest manager will be the unit manager within the preschool.

Your role

Main tasks in the role of cleaner:

• Daily cleaning of the preschool premises and common areas with a focus on high and consistent quality
• Perform cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning, floor care, and window cleaning according to schedule and as needed
• Handling and operating cleaning machines
• Ensure order and cleaning in the waste room, as well as emptying of trash and waste
• Refill consumables
• Responsible for cleaning kitchens/penthouses and, if necessary, washing cleaning materials and work clothes
• Report deviations, maintenance needs, and contribute to orders
• Work actively with development and improvement to ensure high quality in cleaning services
• Other tasks associated with the assignment may be added

The work is carried out in an ongoing operation where children and staff are present, and it is important to follow routines that contribute to a safe, secure, and hygienic environment. Travel between preschools is included.

Time reporting is done digitally, and much of the communication takes place via mobile and Outlook.

Your competence and experience

To be considered for the position, we have the following requirements:

• SRY or PRYL education (Swedish vocational qualifications for cleaning)
• Education in floor care
• At least three years of documented experience in cleaning, preferably in a public environment
• Previous experience in cleaning within preschools or child-friendly environments
• Knowledge of handling cleaning machines and chemicals
• Knowledge of environmentally conscious cleaning methods and hygiene routines
• Awareness of child safety in connection with cleaning, as well as the importance of confidentiality and privacy in the preschool environment
• Good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as basic IT skills

We are looking for you who are meticulous, responsible, and quality-conscious in your work. You work independently while being receptive, having a good sense of service, and being easy to cooperate with others. We also see that you are solution-oriented and flexible, with the ability to adapt to changed working methods, schedules, or tasks.

The role requires you to be structured and punctual, as well as having a good ability to handle a high work pace and varying tasks. The role involves working in environments with high activity and noise levels, which requires you to be confident and act professionally in the vicinity of children.

We also see that you have good physical fitness and an environmentally conscious work approach, where you consider sustainable methods and materials in daily work.
